ABC star Sarah Ferguson has taken aim at US President Joe Biden after a disastrous debate with Donald Trump.
President Biden suffered repeated senior moments in Friday’s debate, struggling to find his words as he spoke on a range of policy issues.
However, the president’s disposition changed the next day at a rally in Raleigh, North Carolina, when he attacked Trump more clearly in front of cheering fans.
While some were glad to see Biden recover, many wondered how the president’s disposition had taken such a dramatic turn in such a short time.
Sarah Ferguson, host of ABC’s flagship current affairs program 7:30, said the change was due to Biden using a ‘teleprompter’ rather than being in place.
However, the criticism backfired on Fegugson, as many called his comment hypocritical.
“She has a lot to say now, after an admittedly awful first debate, and you know what, Sarah, I think she’s doing very well,” they commented.
“If he wants notes, he’ll give them to him through a teleprompter, so what the hell.”
A second added: ‘God I’d expect better from someone who wears one. Actually, it’s kind of unpleasant.

The world tuned into the debate between the president and Donald Trump on Thursday only to see Biden mumble through a number of talking points.
‘That’s a mean comment. What’s your point?’ asked a third.
“As if you don’t wear one every night?” “Please,” said a fourth.
Trump and Biden held competitive rallies the day after Thursday’s debate, and the president’s event in North Carolina made headlines because of Biden’s apparent greater energy.
The president used the rally to calm widespread concerns, as some of his closest allies, including Obama, publicly backed him despite admitting his performance was poor.
“I know I’m not a young man. To state the obvious,” Biden said alongside first lady Jill while wearing a Christian Siriano dress covered in the word “vote.”
‘Friends, I no longer walk as easily as before. I don’t speak as fluently as I used to. I don’t debate as well as I used to.

In a shocking move, Donald Trump had something nice to say about President Biden’s comeback speech in North Carolina following his disastrous debate performance.
‘His speech on Friday was better… but America needs to ask itself, with all the dangers around it, do we really want a President who DROWNS? I don’t think so!’ he added.
