The Victorian meteorologist shared a post with X, explaining that he had “decided to go in a different direction.”
‘For those wondering where I’ve gotten to at ABC, you’ve decided to go in a different direction. A huge thank you to everyone I spoke to and came into contact with during my time on air. I appreciate your comments! #abcnewschannel,’ she wrote.
Despite the announcement, Higgins made an appearance on ABC’s 24-hour news channel.

It comes after the reason behind ABC star Lisa Millar’s long absence from the popular News Breakfast show was revealed a month after she disappeared.
In recent weeks, his co-host Michael Rowland hosted the show alongside Emma Rebellato, sparking rumors that Millar had left the network.
