ABC has axed two of its family-oriented channels and relaunched them as part of its far-reaching digital refresh.

The channel known as ABC ME is now ABC Entertains and will feature both children’s and tweener content, as well as programming for more mature viewers.

ABC TV plus has become ABC Family.

The channel will feature ABC Kids programming until 7:30 p.m. The nights will be dedicated to attractive shows for teenagers and audiences of all ages.

This is the second time in just three years that ABC has changed the name of the channel that until 2021 was known as ABC Comedy.

ABC announced the changes earlier this year in order to make the user experience ‘easier’, it reported. umbrella In May.

Meanwhile, ABC ME launched in 2016 as a digital app, replacing ABC3 which started in 2009.

ABC announced that the app is now closed and its content can be viewed via ABC Iview.

ABC Family content includes the children’s version of Tom Gleeson’s hit game show Hard Quiz Kids, as well as the popular animated series The Strange Chores, the family comedy Fresh Off the Boat and the hit nature show Expedition with Steve Backshall .

Well-known ABC hits such as Bluey, The PM’s Daughter and Nowhere Boys are also available.

Meanwhile, ABC Entertains features Australian and international content, including movies and series.

Some of the shows fans can look forward to include long-running educational shows like Behind the News, as well as Louis Theroux Interviews and the horror comedy Wreck.

Teen programming is scheduled from 5 a.m. to 11 a.m. Fans can catch up on reruns of Mythbusters and Would I Lie to You?

ABC Family begins at 7:30 pm daily and presents Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures along with repeats of Shaun the Sheep, Bluey and Merlin.

Viewers can now access all channels on their televisions without having to tune in again.
