Abbie Chatfield has compared an experience she had on a reality show to the attempted assassination of former US President Donald Trump.
The former Bachelor star took to TikTok on Monday to say she believed being bitten on the hand by a snake was similar to when Donald Trump was shot during a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, on Sunday.
“The moment Trump was shot in the ear and the bullet missed his head is very similar to the time I was on I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! and I got bitten on the hand by a non-venomous snake,” the reality star revealed.
“That made some headlines and people felt sorry for me, or thought I was very brave for allowing Dr. Chris Brown to take that snake out of my hand.”
Abbie added that she felt ‘sick’ as she drew parallels between her serpentine scratch and the incident in Pennsylvania and what it could mean for the US presidential election in November.
“My point is, I won. I’m a celebrity… Get me out of here! So I’m worried,” Abbie said before offering a worried sigh.

Many of Abbie’s followers were quick to echo her sentiments with comments like, “Yeah I’m really worried too,” and “I’ve been thinking the same thing girl.”

Thomas Matthew Crooks, the 20-year-old assassin who shot Donald Trump, opened fire on the former president with an AR-style rifle from a rooftop 130 yards from the rally stage in Butler, Pennsylvania, on Saturday at 6:15 p.m.
Abbie, who won the 2021 edition of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!, was bitten on the hand by a snake during a challenge on the hit reality show.
As presenter Dr Chris Brown rushed to Abbie’s aid and held the distraught star in his arms, a snake handler was needed to help remove the reptile from her hand.
