The star, who did not address her new look on the show, was left blushing during the interview with Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley while promoting her new podcast, Exhibit A.
Ben, 49, tricked the mother-of-three when he revealed: “We got this question from one of our viewers…” before the camera showed a video message from Abbey’s husband Peter Crouch.
Abbey was left laughing as Peter mused, ‘Yes, my name is Peter, I have a question for Abigail.
“She talks about the new show Exhibit A and how it enriches her life with some amazing guests she’s met… doesn’t she feel enriched on Therapy Crouch with her husband Peter (their joint podcast)?”
Laughing, Abbey at first avoided the question and asked, “First of all, I want to know why Peter has braces on what he’s wearing.” referring to the footballer’s backpack.
As Ben tried to get her to answer the question, Abbey admitted: ‘I’m trying to think of the right way to answer that!
‘Bending Therapy is happy, it’s fun, we don’t take ourselves too seriously, but I just want to learn more…’
As Ben chimed in ‘and your husband isn’t helping you!’ Abbey agreed, adding, “He’s very intelligent, but he usually deals with topics that don’t interest me.”
Abbey previously had adult braces fitted in 2018, and cosmetic and implant dentist Dr Ahmed Naji told MailOnline at the time: ‘Abbey’s dental treatment is just a short treatment, lasting between six and nine months, with the orthotics brand Six Month Smiles.
‘This treatment, which costs between £4,000 and £12,000, depending on the desired end result, would straighten your teeth, before continuing with minimally invasive cosmetic treatment.
‘The teeth will then be whitened (teeth whitening), then the smile line and shape of the teeth can be improved (designed) using thin partial ceramic veneers or different variations of ceramic veneers.’
