Patrick Mahomes and LeBron James led the reactions to Aaron Rodgers’ incredible Hail Mary pass to close the first half between the Jets and Bills on Monday.
Down 20-10 with seconds to spare, Rodgers served up another long-distance pass to close the gap at the intermission. The Bills gave the veteran quarterback plenty of space that allowed him to throw a 52-yard pass to Allen Lazard.
The receiver rose above a sea of blue jerseys to make the catch, sending social media into a frenzy.
“Why is Aaron so good at that?” Mahomes wrote with three laughing-crying emojis.

“His ability to make those clutch throws is legendary,” commented a fourth user.
“This could be luck but he did it 4 times so I don’t know,” added a fifth.
Highlights came after ESPN showed a montage of Rodgers’ three Hail Mary passes for Pittsburgh.
One of the referees initially called the catch incomplete after the ball left Lazard’s hands. However, two referees called a touchdown after confirming that Lazard landed with the ball in his hands.

Wide receiver Allen Lazard caught Rodgers’ 52-yard pass just before the halftime break.
The Jets kept their visitors on the defensive for three periods as the game was tied at 20 heading into the fourth.
After suffering a torn Achilles tendon against Buffalo in his first game with the Jets last year, Rodgers missed the rest of the season.
However, he has played in all five games this season. Rodgers completed 111 of 182 attempts for 1,093 yards and seven touchdowns before Monday when the Jets finished 2-3 to start their season.
