Aaron Rodgers and Robert F Kennedy Jr. opened up about their shared political values during a dog walk in Los Angeles that was caught on camera earlier this year.
Rodgers filmed a three-part Netflix documentary titled ‘Enigma’, which is released on Tuesday, and Mail Sport was given early access to the footage.
In a startling clip showing their meeting on February 15, with RFK Jr deep on the campaign trail and Rodgers nearing the end of his Achilles recovery, the pair immediately got into politics.
When asked by the cameraman how he experiences it on the road, RJK Jr answers: ‘Well, it’s such an absurd idea to run for president. It’s crazy.
“I go out and so many people come up to me every day and say, ‘You’ve given me hope.’ It makes me feel like I have to be the person they think I am.
‘I have to be a leader. Then you also get a kind of stoicism when you are hammered all the time. And you have to embrace that a bit. It’s just like you.’

Rodgers then responds, “Every day for you. Everyday life for you.’
As the conversation progresses and they walk back down the LA aisle, RFK asks Rodgers, “Have you thought about going into politics?”
In response, the NFL quarterback says, “I got into politics when I was a sophomore in high school. I mean, the idea everywhere, honestly, of your uncle’s death. That was my first attempt at pulling back the veil, as I call it, on what’s actually going on, because I read the Warren Commission report on that. I remember thinking, “Is this what they said happened?” This can’t be real.
“And then I went to Berkeley, which is a crazy political environment. It’s super left-wing and I grew up in a very conservative environment in a small town, so it was fun to have my ideologies tested.

“But I mean… I’ve just always been discouraged that there’s a two-party system that’s actually one party. The only party that governs are the people with the money.
“So I really had no hope in politics until you announced your candidacy.”
Six months later, RFK Jr dropped out of the presidential race, removed his name from the ballot and endorsed Donald Trump instead.
After Trump’s re-election, he was asked to oversee the Department of Health and Human Services when the presidency begins.
