A behind-the-scenes look at Aaron Rodgers’ remarkable life premieres on Netflix on December 17.
A sneak preview of the three-part series, titled Enigma, aired Tuesday during “The Pat McAfee Show” on ESPN — much to Rodgers’ surprise.
“Oh damn, really,” the quarterback said live on air as the two-minute segment began. It promised fans a behind-the-scenes look at Rodgers’ nightmare with the New York Jets.
But the trailer also provided a glimpse into the quarterback’s off-field antics, including his friendship with Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and his experiments with ayahuasca.
“I live between two worlds of the extrovert and an introverted lover of silence,” Rodgers was heard saying during the teaser video.
“I’m trying to beat Father Time and the odds,” the 40-year-old says before a montage of his career plays.

It shows the quarterback clashing with opponents and even throwing a tantrum on the sideline with the Green Bay Packers, where he won four MVP awards.
“Aaron Rodgers is not for everyone,” Stephen A. Smith can be heard saying over the footage, before the trailer focuses on his controversial political beliefs.
What follows is a series of news reports detailing Rodgers’ “controversial and crazy conspiracy theories,” including his “anti-vaxxer” stance.
“Losing friendships, losing family, it was heartbreaking,” Rodgers tells the camera before the clip moves on to his move to New York.
On September 11, 2023, Rodgers tore his Achilles four shots during his Jets debut against the Buffalo Bills and the trailer featured behind-the-scenes footage of the quarterback in the hospital.
The quarterback can be seen with his head in his hands and his left leg in a cast. The series also chronicles his long journey back to the field this season.
“I’ll be back to do everything,” he says, before asking the doctors: “What’s the risk of playing?”
“People are getting a behind-the-scenes look,” the 40-year-old says before footage shows him with Donald Trump’s new health secretary, Robert F Kennedy Jr.
“Have you thought about going into politics?” Kennedy asks Rodgers, who revealed he turned down the chance to become the 70-year-old’s vice presidential candidate in order to keep playing.
