Aaron Rodgers accused the New York Jets of ‘giving away’ their game against the Bills due to ‘terrible’ mistakes on the field.
New York fell 23-20 at home against Buffalo on Monday night, with Rodgers throwing a costly interception late at MetLife Stadium.
It was the Jets’ first game since the firing of head coach Robert Saleh, but their season went from bad to worse under new interim boss Jeff Ulbrich.
Despite both Rodgers (passing) and Breece Hall (running) posting season-best stats, the Jets scored just 20 points.
New York reached the red zone four times, but converted only once, and Rodgers made no effort to point out where the game was lost.

‘We were terrible in the red zone. We missed two field goals,” the quarterback said later.
The quarterback admitted there was “concern” about the Jets’ prospects this season, with New York now 2-4, but insisted “that’s important.” We have to get going.’
Rodgers said: ‘This was a golden opportunity. Some games you win in the NFL, others you give away. This was a gift.
‘We were terrible in the red zone. We missed two field goals, we didn’t convert on a two-minute drive.
“We had a lot of opportunities. We had the momentum. We made good attacks, we moved the ball up and down the field, so (it’s) disappointing.”
The Bills now have a two-win lead over the Jets and Dolphins in the AFC East.
