- Aaron Rodgers Approached to Be Robert F. Kennedy’s Running Mate
Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers is among the favorites to win the presidency in 2028, according to an impressive list published by a betting website.
Rodgers is close to 2024 presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr., and the 70-year-old even approached the quarterback at one point to be his running mate, as the New York Times reported.
And although Donald Trump defeated Kamala Harris in this year’s election, betting houses.com has placed Rodgers as the 13th most likely person to win the top job next time around.
The website gave him +3000 odds of winning the presidency as an independent, which translates to an implied probability of 3.2 percent.
At the top of the list was incoming Vice President JD Vance with +450 odds, followed by California Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom at +575.

Rodgers is known to be close to Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who reportedly asked him to be his running mate.
Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is in third place at +700, while former first lady Michelle Obama is at +950 and Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro is at +1000.
Vice President Harris has the sixth-best odds at +1,200, or an implied probability of just 7.7 percent.
Rodgers admitted in a interview with Tucker Carlson that he was surprised by RFK Jr.’s approach but considered the offer.
“Oh, yeah, I thought about it,” Rodgers said. “I definitely thought about this because I love Bobby and I just wanted to hear what he had to say about it.”
He later hinted that he politely declined the opportunity to enter politics.

“I love Bobby. We had a couple of really nice conversations,” Rodgers told reporters from the Jets facility.
‘But there were actually two options. It was either retire and be his vice president or continue playing. And I wanted to keep playing.”
RFK Jr. ultimately chose Nicole Shanahan as his running mate before dropping out of the race and endorsing Trump.
