Since he left no will, California law states that the singer’s fortune, which is estimated to be about $550 thousand dollars in real estate and personal property, goes to the next of kin, and since Aaron was not married, the estate goes to Prince.
The Crush on You singer passed away at his home in Lancaster, California, on Nov. 5 at the age of 34. The cause of death has yet to be revealed.

The matriarch of the Carter family, Jane, told them TMZ she had not yet met Prince or his mother, Aaron’s fiancé Melanie Martin, but they would like to have a relationship with them.
She also wants everything from her son’s estate to go to Aaron’s child Prince, noting that the other members of his family are well enough that they don’t need a portion of his estate.
On Friday, Melanie posted a video of the growing memorial outside Aaron’s home on social media over the weekend.

Memorial: Melanie posted a video of the memorial outside Aaron’s house on Instagram, writing, “It’s been a whole month since you’ve been gone, not a day goes by that I don’t think of you”
As a tribute to Aaron, the Backstreet Boys put together a memorial photo as they sang No Place.
“It was very emotional for me to have my boys with me,” he shared, “there’s the old saying, ‘The show must go on’, that’s been with us for years, but that night I didn’t know what to make expect.’
Jane Carter said that Aaron had contacted Nick in the weeks before his death, while the Backstreet Boys were touring Europe, but that Nick had been unable to contact Aaron before he died.
