Jason Statham reunites with his director of last year’s The Beekeeper, David Ayer, for his new action thriller A Working Man.
Another action icon, Sylvester Stallone, also wrote the script, having previously been developing an adaptation of Chuck Dixon’s 2014 novel, Levon’s Trade, as a television series.
While that never came to fruition, Stallone’s script was eventually used for this film, which hits theaters on March 28.
Statham plays blue-collar hero Levon Cade, who on the surface appears to be a normal construction worker, which comes after Kristin Cavalarri called Statham her “hottest connection.”
Although what most don’t know is that he was previously a counterterrorism specialist who is as deadly as they come.
Cade must put those skills to the test again when his boss (Michael Peña) asks him to find his daughter Jenny (Arianna Rivas) while uncovering a massive human trafficking ring.

The trailer begins at a construction site, where Cade tells his men that today will be difficult, “but let’s all go home with the same amount of fingers we came with.”
He tells his boss that when his wife died and he left the Royal Marines, “a lot of people would have given up on me.” You gave me a job, you were patient with me. You, Carla, Jenny, you are my family.
Then one day at the construction site he sees one of his workers being mistreated, and he steps in and takes care of them with ease.
Jenny, his boss’s daughter, asks, “Levon, was it some military s**t?” but he tells her, ‘Hey, you didn’t see anything,’ while she asks, ‘Hey, take care of me if I ever need it.’
Carla (Noemí González) reveals that Jenny disappeared after going out with her friends on Friday night.
Carla and her boss say the police don’t have the resources to deal with these cases, saying, “they just make a report and forget about it,” while asking her to find her daughter.
He locates a den of thieves and eliminates them all, while discovering that it is a human trafficking operation.
Levon goes to see his blind war buddy Gunny (David Harbour) as he shows him various weapons, including an M14 “straight out of Sadaam’s palace,” with the high-tech addition of a Bluetooth scope.

Levon learns that the mafia, gangs, and corrupt government officials are involved in this organization.
The trailer ends with a series of action-packed shots as he ties one of the traffic kingpins to a chair… dangling precariously over a pool.
‘Who are you? What are you going to?’ the man says, but Levon simply cuts the rope, sending him into the pool to drown, as the trailer comes to an end.
