A woman has revealed the horrific sexual abuse she suffered at the hands of her stepfather from the age of seven.
Twisted Martin Falconer, now 66, took advantage of Leah Green, now 21, after grooming her as a child. He even installed a camera in her bedroom so he could watch her undress.
Disgustingly, when she was 15, he attempted to rape her at a New Year’s Eve party and sexually assaulted her on the night of her prom. At the age of 16 she found the courage to report him to the police.
In November 2024, Falconer was sentenced to 16 years in prison for five counts of sexual activity with a child, attempted rape, one count of sexual assault and one count of possession of indecent photograph/pseudophotograph of a child.
Now Leah, from Birkenhead, Merseyside, is bravely giving up her anonymity to encourage other abuse survivors to come forward and report their abusers.
The specialist collector says: ‘Marty stole my childhood and made me think that no one would believe me. He was a monster.
“Now that he is finally caged, I want to give hope to others that they too will be able to achieve justice, no matter how much time has passed.”
Leah met Falconer when she was four years old after her mother started dating him, and soon called him “dad.”

At first he played the loving stepfather, buying her gifts and taking care of her when she was sick. But at six years everything changed.
Leah explains: “One day I felt sick and took a bath. Then I found Marty in my room with a camera.
“He took the towel off and started taking pictures of my naked body, before telling me he would save them in a special file.”
Moments later, one of Leah’s brothers came upstairs and disturbed him, so he quickly left the room.
A year later, Falconer built Leah a four-poster princess bed, complete with sheer pink curtains.
One night shortly after, he entered her bedroom while she was sleeping. He closed the curtains and put his hand under the pajamas.
Leah remembers: “I didn’t understand what was happening, so I pretended to be asleep.”
Often when Falconer stayed overnight, he would abuse her in her room and always threatened that no one would believe her if she told him.

Sick messages Falconer sent Leah the night of her prom when she was 16
Leah met Falconer when she was four years old after her mother started dating him, and soon called him “dad.”
The family eventually moved in with him when she was 13 and Leah’s abuse continued.
He would also make inappropriate comments about Leah’s appearance. She says, “Once, while we were on a family walk, he whispered, ‘I can see you squirming in that coat,’ and I got goosebumps.”
One day when she was 14, Falconer ran Leah a bath. While she washed, he sat and ogled her body.
She recalls: ‘He told me I had small breasts and suggested I massage them to make them ‘grow bigger’. With that, he roughly grabbed my breast and started rubbing me. It was horrible.’
Shortly after, Leah began experiencing night terrors. She dreamed that Falconer was lunging at her in bed.
She says, “I couldn’t escape from him, even when I was asleep.”
When Leah got a boyfriend at age 15, Falconer was furious.
One night while she was out with friends, he texted her: “I feel sick because I feel like a jealous boyfriend and not a father, so does that mean I’m in love with you?”

After showing his text message to a friend, she was encouraged to report him to the police. However, Leah feared they wouldn’t believe her.
Weeks later, Falconer placed a camera in Leah’s bedroom and told her she could only wash and use the bathroom in the bathroom. They forced her to remove her tampons and undress in front of the camera.
On New Year’s Eve in December 2018, when he was 15 years old, the family held a party. Falconer gave Leah alcohol until she felt dizzy and vomited.
She says: “He took me upstairs to take a bath to ‘sober me up’. But when I got out of the bath, I passed out on the bathroom floor.
“When I woke up, I realized he was trying to rape me. Groping my naked body. With his pants down, he tried to force himself on me.
Luckily, Leah’s brother knocked on the door asking if everything was okay, scaring Falconer.
In July 2019, seven months later, on the night of her graduation party, Falconer forced her to pose for photographs with him.
While enjoying the night with friends, he sent her a message: “I miss you and you look stunning.” Too bad you left your panties on.

Leah (pictured) says: ‘After years of fighting for justice, they finally believed me. Knowing that he will probably die in prison gives me some comfort.
That night, back home, while Leah was in bed, he sneaked into her room and sexually abused her again.
Leah says: ‘Fed up, I punched him in the face and he got off me.’
Two months later, Leah moved in with a family friend. The following month, in October, she reported Falconer to the police.
But in December 2021, the case was abandoned due to lack of evidence. Some of Leah’s relatives accused her of lying.
When he turned 18 he appealed the case and it was reopened in 2022.
Falconer was eventually charged with multiple sex crimes against Leah. More than two years later, the case finally went to court. Appearing via video link, Leah bravely gave her testimony.
Last month, Martin Falconer was found guilty of five counts of sexual activity with a child, attempted rape, one count of sexual assault and one count of possession of indecent photograph/pseudophotograph of a child at Chester Crown Court.
Leah says: ‘After years of fighting for justice, they finally believed me. Knowing that he will probably die in prison gives me some comfort.
‘Now I want other abuse survivors to never stop fighting for justice. For years I felt trapped in Marty’s abuse. Now I’m finally rebuilding my life.”
