The Great Dane shocked dog lovers by giving birth to a huge litter of 21 puppies during a 27-hour labor period.
The two-year-old dog — named Namen — has been overwhelmed by her owner, Tanya Dobbs of Pocahontas, Virginia, after giving birth to 21 puppies.
Although Tanya expected the big dog to have approximately 13 or 14 puppies, she never thought she would produce nearly twenty.
It took Nemin more than a day to finish giving birth to her 21 children, but unfortunately two of them died shortly after birth.

She started her birthing journey last week and had quite a few puppies

It took Nemin more than a day to finish bringing her 21 children into the world, but two of them unfortunately passed away shortly after their birth.
Talking to WWVAOf all her dogs, all but two were over a pound, Tanya said.
One was 0.94 ounces and the other 0.98 ounces. I weighed them the next day and everyone gained 2 to 5 ounces.
The dog’s owner knew her Great Dane would have many puppies, but he didn’t expect 21.
Tanya explained that she thought Nemin would have a ’13 or a 14′ but then when her dog brought a 16 into the world and then another, she knew she wasn’t done yet.
“I was sitting on the bed and she was on the bed with me and I was talking to a friend of mine and I heard a gush of fluids and she looked and said we have another puppy,” Tanya told the outlet.
The dogs mom explained that she would sell the puppies once they were weaned from Namin in a few weeks.
She added that the money she makes from the first puppy sold will go to the Tazewell County Animal Shelter.
According to the American Kennel ClubGreat Danes are known to be one of the largest dog breeds. They often weigh anywhere from 99 to 200 pounds and stand two to three feet in height.

The average dog litter size ranges from 1 to 12 puppies, with larger breeds having even more.
In 2004, a Neapolitan Mastiff named Tia had 24 puppies and currently holds the Guinness World Record for Largest Litter.
Tania also revealed that last year Nemin left the house and sustained injuries.
She reveals that Big Dog’s eye is lacerated and she has a scar on her side.
“She’s still here,” said Tanya, “we brought our daughter back.”
