A player has pushed himself to the limit after playing almost 60 hours straight of ‘World of Warcraft’ to break the world record.

But his impressive feat was not without risks.

Barnabás Vujity-Zsolnay admits that he became bored after 30 hours of the session, and even began to experience “mild hallucinations” after hour 45.

Mr. Vujity-Zsolnay, a Hungarian chef, played continuously for 59 hours and 20 minutes, almost two and a half days.

His achievement has earned him not just one, but two Guinness World Records.

He holds the record for the longest video game marathon playing an MMORPG (massively multiplayer online role-playing game), surpassing the previous record by an impressive 23 hours 31 minutes.

He also holds the title for longest video game marathon playing World of Warcraft.

World of Warcraft is a popular video game in which players create a character and explore a virtual world where they can fight monsters and compete against other players.

During his 60-hour gaming marathon, Vujity-Zsolnay spent his time clearing dungeons with his friends and battling other players.

According to Guinness World Records rules, he was allowed to take five minutes of rest after each continuous hour of play.

Only during these breaks was he allowed to eat, take a nap or go to the bathroom.

After 30 hours he started to get bored and said it was “really hard to cope with the fatigue.”

And after 45 hours, he began to experience hallucinations.

“I noticed slight hallucinations starting to form,” he said.

“It was fun but also difficult to concentrate during the live broadcast.”

Despite these problems, Vujity-Zsolnay says he has no regrets about his gaming marathon.

“I don’t regret it and I don’t recommend it,” he said.

‘I love the game and I will get the record back if I beat it.

“This is mine for life; I want everyone to know it.”

Mr. Vujity-Zsolnay’s entire record attempt was broadcast live and all proceeds from the broadcast were donated to charity.

His record is not the only achievement in the game in recent years.

At the end of 2022, Antonio Romero Monteiro, 45, from Texas, USA, broke the Guinness World Record for the largest collection of video games.

The avid gamer, whose multimillion-dollar collection began in 1987 when he was just 10 years old, has collected a whopping 24,268 video games.

Monteiro now holds the record for the largest Xbox merchandise collection, the largest Sega merchandise collection, the largest Nintendo merchandise collection, the largest PlayStation merchandise collection, and the largest video game collection overall.
