Shocking footage emerged from a seemingly unprovoked rage on the road that took place at peak times.

Dashcam video of the incident shows a man facing another driver who stopped by a red light on Tuesday morning in Maroochydore, on the Sunshine Coast of Queensland.

A ute driver can be seen stopping next to a red Holden Commodore before he storms out of his car.

He walks to the driver's side of the car, opens the door and starts yelling at the victim.

Not long afterwards he seems to hit the other driver.

Craig, who took the video, told it 7News he initially thought it was a friend of the driver's disembarkation.

The Queensland police told Daily Mail Australia that the incident had been reported, but no one was arrested or charged and the Holden driver still has to file a complaint.
