A senior member of the Bandidos motorcycle gang has reportedly died in a car crash in western Sydney.

A senior member of the Bandidos motorcycle gang has reportedly died in a car accident.

The man, who has not yet been identified, is believed to have been riding his motorcycle with another club member when the pair collided with a Mazda sedan shortly before 1pm on Tuesday on the Great Western Highway at Prospect in Sydney’s west.

He had Bandidos markings on the front wheel of his Harley Davidson, the Daily Telegraph reported.

Two destroyed motorcycles were observed at the scene.

The other motorcyclist and the driver of the sedan were taken to the hospital.

All westbound lanes of the highway and two eastbound lanes were closed after the crash.

Firefighters are understood to have had to free the driver of the sedan from the rubble, while a tent was set up to cover the deceased motorcyclist.

Police and accident investigators remain at the scene.
