She showed her playful side when she took to social media to share the blooper.

In the clip, Teagan thought she was off the air because a producer told her she was “off the air,” so she raised her microphone and said, “Thank you!”

However, the reporter was still live.

She captioned the video: ‘The producer said in my ear, “You have clarity.” We actually did NOT have clarity… so I hope you enjoyed my performance on the mic.’

People on the web flooded the comments section and praised the reporter for her dance.

One person said: “I think this has become the standard send-off. It’s legendary.”

Someone else added: ’10/10 for the mic, honestly.’

One user commented: “This is fantastic. We need to do more things like this.”

While talking to Today, The reporter revealed that she was grateful that she didn’t do anything embarrassing when she thought she was off the air.

He added that he tended to twirl the microphone to ease his nerves.

“I do what I usually do, I throw the microphone in the air. Sometimes I spin it or, I don’t know, I throw it. It’s just to release energy after being on live TV and all that,” Teagan said.

“I had no idea that that had ever happened live on TV. They didn’t tell me afterwards, and neither the director nor my producer whispered in my ear, ‘Oh, by the way, Teagan, everyone just saw that,’ so I had no idea.”

Teagan added that she was a “big fan” of sharing her mistakes online.
