Great Northern Brewing has sensationally abandoned a campaign aimed at supporting national parks after indignant customers boycott the beer.
The campaign ‘Outdoors for a cause’ of the brand was promised that it coincides with donations of any amount of up to $ 200,000 when customers gave the Foundation for National Parks and Wildlife.
The campaign would be supposed to take place from January 15 to March 31, but the beer production company stopped it last night after thousands of complaints.
Outdoor enthusiasts were upset that the campaign supported the creation of national parks, which have more strict policies than state parks and made it difficult to camp, take a family dog to a trip or drive a 4WD.
Great Hern Marketing Chief Zac Gelman, told Daily Mail Australia that he had taken the advice of his clients on board and withdrew the campaign.
“The Great Northern’s Outdoors for Cause campaign stopped yesterday after the comments of our passionate drinkers,” Gelman said.
‘Our donation to the Foundation for National Parks and Wildlife now will not be used to buy land to add to national parks.
“Our donation will be used for the preservation of endangered species.”

In a sudden change of meaning, Great Northern said he was now supporting those who wish to preserve less restrictive state forests.
“Whether hiking, fishing, driving to 4 wheels or simply relaxing, the excellent northern drinkers use and preserve their precious outdoor places and support them,” Gelman said.
Great Northern underestimated the amount of their drinkers who supported the protection of state forests.

Leonie Blackwell, who runs the Facebook page ‘Victorians against the great Forest National Park’, told Daily Mail Australia that Great Northern Brewing would regret her decision.
“It is really disappointing that the main companies such as that blindly buy support problems without really understanding the complete context of the impact they will have,” he said.
‘They are trying to look good, but they need to have a much bigger vision than just try to look good and fashionable.
‘I hope they are regretting their decision to do this. Many people who drink Great Northern will also camp.
Only $ 2,286 were collected for the cause before he was abandoned.
