The A Place In The Sun presenter, 37, froze her eggs to improve her chances of having children.
Scarlette described how she cried before the procedure because no one could accompany her.
She wrote: “Everything was explained in detail and I felt in good hands. I shed a little tear just before the sedation kicked in, mostly because I was scared and nervous, but also because you have to do everything yourself; no one can enter with you.
“Anyway, the best sleep I ever had was a pain, so they eased me a little more, stayed for about an hour and a half afterward and just when I was ready to leave the recovery room I was I talked about my 24 eggs collected, 19 were viable for freezing!!!!!I was over the moon!
“It was more than I could have imagined and I was and am so happy that so far it has all been worth it.”
It comes after Scarlette was rushed to the emergency room after suffering a “strange numbness and tingling” earlier this month.
As she prepared for an awards ceremony, Scarlette opened up about how she “freaked out” while googling her symptoms.
In the clip shared to Instagram, she began: “I’m having an awards show today, which means on my break I’m going to run to the bathroom here and give one of my injections in a glamorous way.”
“I have noticed in recent days a slight numbing tingling sensation in my left arm and a little in my left leg.”
The star took to Instagram on Wednesday and shared that she was in hospital for an egg retrieval procedure which left her emotional.
She continued: “It’s like a dead arm, a dead leg, you know, when you sleep on something funny.
“So at first I thought that’s probably what it was, but then obviously Dr. Google freaked me out and made me think it might be something worse.”
In another update, Scarlette added: “So I called the clinic today, they told me I need to go to A&E when I can. Just to check that everything is ok, I will do it after the awards ceremony tonight.
“Make sure I don’t have any blood clots and also make sure there isn’t ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome.
“Now I only had a scan on Tuesday and it showed everything was fine. So I’m sure there’s nothing to worry about, but if you’ve gone through that process and if you ‘ve noticed, let me know.
Scarlette is freezing her eggs after admitting ’37 came so quickly’ and she hopes to protect her ‘future offspring’.
Egg freezing involves going through the IVF process, which usually takes two to three weeks.
This involves taking medications to stimulate egg production, but also to help the eggs mature.

She said: “I learned so much about my eggs and the vitrification process at @barbadosivf. I really wish this had taught me when I was younger or at least talked about it in more depth.
“Yes, my aunt and friends had encouraged me to do it when I was younger, but I didn’t think for a second that it would be something I should consider, let alone think about it at all. era, but who knew that 37 years would come.” so quickly?!’
The TV presenter added: “I really should have taken action when they first said it all those years ago.
“I can’t go back now, but I can move forward as quickly as possible (of course, armed with the new knowledge I now have) and not wait another minute to protect my future offspring.”
