A Place In the Sun presenter Scarlette Douglas has revealed she is making the trip across the Atlantic in a bid to advance her career.
The 37-year-old property expert is flying to sunny Los Angeles to meet with big-name TV executives in the hope of landing some presenting jobs in the United States.
In an interview with daily expressScarlette gave information about her itinerary as she ventured across the pond.
“I have my green cards, I’m going to Los Angeles for two months to have some meetings there with networks and channels,” he said.
‘With a little luck, [my brother] Stuart and I may also bring some of our shows to the United States. So, watch this space… And I can’t be cold here.’

While in the US, the TV presenter hopes to land some hosting jobs and aims to bring her show stateside, revealing: “So, watch this space… And I can’t stay out in the cold here.”
He added: “All my shows have ‘In The Sun’ in the title and there’s no sun right now, so take me to Los Angeles.”
A familiar face on television, Scarlette has appeared on popular UK shows including I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here!, Worst House On The Street and A Place In The Sun.
Although she will only remain in the United States for two months, the television presenter does not rule out making the United States her permanent home.
In an Instagram video addressed to her 75,000 followers, she said: “Don’t worry, I’m not moving full time.”
‘I will be doing a few months [in the UK]a few months in the US, probably Los Angeles, Miami, New York, a few different places I’ll visit before deciding exactly where I want to settle down.
Her announcement comes shortly after she was rushed to A&E after suffering “strange numbness and tingling” in March.
The presenter, who has documented her egg freezing journey, admitted she had had “strange sensations” in her arms and legs.
In the clip shared on Instagram, she said: “I’m hosting an awards show today, which means on my break I’ll be running to the bathroom here and getting one of my glamor injections.”
Scarlette and her brother Stuart, 45 (pictured) present Worst House On The Street for Channel 4 and she hopes to launch the show across the pond.
The TV presenter has been a familiar face on our screens and has appeared on popular shows such as I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here in 2022 (pictured).
“I have noticed that in the last few days I have had a slight tingling and numbness in my left arm and a little in my left leg.”
He added: “It feels like a dead arm, a dead leg, you know when you sleep with something funny.”
“At first I thought it was probably that, but then obviously Doctor Google scared me into thinking it could be something worse.”
In a later update, she told fans: ‘So I called the clinic today and they said I needed to go to A&E when I could.
“Just to triple check that everything’s okay, so I’ll do it after the awards ceremony tonight.”
‘Make sure she doesn’t have any blood clots and also that there isn’t any ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome.
‘Now I had a scan on Tuesday and that showed that everything was actually fine.
“So I’m sure there’s nothing to worry about, but if you’ve been through this process and if you’ve noticed it too, please let me know.”
Scarlette is in the process of freezing her eggs after admitting “37 came so fast” and hopes to protect her “future offspring.”
