A New York escort has candidly revealed the scariest parts of her job as she revealed how she found herself in the industry – working both in a brothel and as a freelance sex worker.
Susie, who lived in Bushwick at the time of the interview but has since moved to Philadelphia, spoke with Matt Cullen, the host of the YouTube series Our Queer Life.
The escort explained her journey into sex work and the services she offers to her clients.
The sex worker said she has strict security measures in place to ensure her safety, admitting that she always uses protection, checks her clients’ IDs, asks them to send a deposit first and has cameras in her apartment.

“I consider it like a girlfriend experience, only there is no sexual relations,” she shared, although she added that she has an “open mind.”
Susie said when it comes to new clients coming to her for a message, she always recommends they start with a nuru massage to “break the ice.”
“From there we can talk about other things,” he explained.
Susie spoke about her life growing up and recalled an incident as a child that saw her end up in foster care for four years.
She admitted that she doesn’t really remember anything from before she was four years old, but maintained that she wasn’t abused, or if she was, she doesn’t remember it, describing herself as a tomboy who was always covered in bruises.
‘[I was on the train with my mom] and I wanted something and she told me ‘no,’ and then I spit at my mom and she spanked me,” he shared.
“This lady saw me crying and stopped the train, and I guess she assumed I was being abused at home,” Susie explained.
“There were police officers at the train station and they took my mom away,” he continued. “They locked her up and then they sent me to a group home.”
Susie was in foster care for eight years and explained that her mother is bipolar and found it difficult to get a job.
Susie said when it comes to new clients coming to her for a message, she always recommends they start with a nuru massage to “break the ice.”
Susie said she didn’t transition into “full-service” sex work until she broke up with her first boyfriend when she was 23.
Susie was 12 when she returned to live with her mother, but it was relatively short-lived.
Her mother was dating an “older guy” and soon began to notice some strange things happening.
“Like my underwear started disappearing and weird things were happening and I didn’t feel comfortable,” she recalled.
“So I told my high school counselor, I said, ‘Hey, I want to go back to my foster mom, I don’t feel comfortable here,’ and I went back into the system.”
Susie still has a somewhat fragile relationship with her mother.
“She takes no responsibility,” he explained. “And I just want her to take responsibility and say, ‘I screwed up and I’m sorry.’
Susie’s difficult young life continued to be complicated, and it was revealed that she became pregnant at age 18 and subsequently had an abortion.
She then moved back in with her mother and rekindled things, which didn’t end well and she once again went back to living alone.
The companion had originally gone to university to study hospitality while still in foster care, but had to drop out to financially support herself and her foster mother.
It was around this time that Susie began dabbling in sex work, working from home at first after a friend helped her get started.
“I posted an ad, it was free at the time, my phone went off the hook and I was like, ‘oh shit,'” he recalled.
Susie continued: ‘At the time I was only doing massages, so I was charging $300 an hour and wearing lingerie. If they wanted her to be naked she charged more, if they wanted other fetishes she charged more.’
She said she didn’t transition into “full-service” sex work until she broke up with her first boyfriend when she was 23.
The escort, who is now dating a transgender woman who sometimes works with her, now offers her services independently and also in a brothel, stating that she prefers independent work so she does not have to hand over 50 percent of her earnings.
Susie also shared her number one rule in sex work: always use protection.
“Don’t do anything cruel to any customer,” he urged. “I don’t even kiss my clients on the mouth; I don’t know where your mouth has been.”
Susie says she sells an “experience” and describes herself as a “sensual tamer.”
“I’m a dominant provider, I like to take control, but I’m not going to beat you up unless you pay me a lot of money,” she added.
According to Susie, one of her main customer groups is Hasidic Jewish men.
“They are super perverted and everyone wants to be peed on,” he said.
Susie tried not to see too many clients a day, a maximum of three a day, since she lives in a nice building and doesn’t want to draw attention to her work by having different people coming and going.
He charges $600 for an hour of nuru massage, which does not include sex, is “body to body” and includes “mutual touching” if you leave your underwear on.
‘If they want GFE [a girlfriend experience] I charge $1,600 in addition to the $600,’ he shared.
Susie described a particularly “scary” situation she had with a client once, saying it was when she was just starting out and wasn’t asking for deposits or checking ID beforehand.
‘He says, “so we’re providing a full service, right?” And I said, “No, we’re not and we didn’t agree on that on the phone,” he said.
The man resisted giving her the money and pushed her against the wall.
“Thank God I had someone in the house with me and I shouted for her,” he said. “She strangled me and put me against the wall and it was quite a deal.”
‘That experience opened my eyes. “Now I know that I should never again let anyone into my house without verification and deposit,” she noted.
“I’m very grateful for that experience; it could have been a lot worse.” The guy could have had a gun, a knife; Thank God he didn’t get to that point.
