A New York mother was shocked to find her daughter’s Burger King meal splattered with blood.

The gruesome incident occurred at a branch of the popular fast food chain located in Getzville, in the western part of the state.

Everything seemed normal until Tiffany Floyd handed her four-year-old daughter, Tay, the kids’ menu of a burger and fries.

The young woman had requested that her meal be without ketchup, so she was shocked to discover that her instructions had been ignored.

It was when her mother looked closer that she discovered to her horror that the red splashes on her food were not actually tomato sauce, but blood.

Upon calling the restaurant, the manager seemed to give a logical explanation when he informed Floyd that a cook had cut off his hand earlier that day.

Floyd recounted the entire incident calmly in a short clip posted on Tik Tok.

“I gave him the bag to eat the food and I heard ‘Mom, I don’t want any ketchup,’ so I gave the bag back thinking they messed up our order and I looked and there was blood all over his bag, the burger, the toy, his fries, everything,” Floyd said, while wearing plastic gloves.

“I immediately told him to spit out his food. He had fries and a bit of his burger in it. And then I looked at my food and there was blood in mine too,” she continued.

‘I called Burger King and the manager told me someone had cut their hand and if I came back he would give me my money back.

“I contacted our local health department and they filed a report, but there’s not much else they can do,” Floyd explained while maintaining his composure.

In the video, which has received nearly 3 million views, Floyd revealed how his daughter now has to undergo monthly blood tests for an entire year to ensure she has not contracted any type of blood-borne disease.

The Niagara County Health Department also confirmed it called the Burger King location and that the manager confirmed a worker had cut his finger, but “didn’t think it was bleeding that bad,” Floyd recalled.

“This is a serious problem and now I have to wait a whole month for my daughter to be tested for possible blood problems.”

Floyd was even angrier on Facebook, describing herself as “LIVID” at Burger King’s dismissive handling of the incident.

Online commenters suggested that Floyd quickly make plans to sue the restaurant after the incident.

‘Contact a lawyer, at the very least they will get you a settlement to compensate for the costs of medical testing etc. (also emotional distress) – do not continue to interact with Burger King, seek a lawyer first,’ one suggested.

“That’s a lawsuit… any type of bodily fluid in food should be considered a biohazard,” agreed a second.

“The level of negligence is terrifying!!! I hope the blood test comes back normal,” wrote another user.

“So scary! I’m not particularly a germaphobe about most things, but this would send me into a panic,” added a fourth.

Burger King’s corporate office has now offered to pay for any medical expenses the family incurs following the incident.

“We told Burger King that the medical expenses were not enough,” Floyd told the The New York Post.

‘My daughter hasn’t eaten since and my anxiety is through the roof. What if my daughter needs professional help for this?’

Burger King has released a statement following the disturbing incident.

‘We were deeply upset and concerned. We have been in contact with the guest and are working with her to resolve this incident. This incident was the result of a restaurant team member injuring her finger and, upon realizing this, immediately walked away.

“We closed the restaurant to train all team members and hired an outside company to perform a deep cleaning,” the company said.

‘We expect the restaurant to reopen on Monday and are paying team members in full for any shifts missed during this temporary closure.’
