A mother who spends just two hours a day homeschooling her daughters insists on teaching them to trade, claiming she is setting them up for a life of financial success.
Amanda Custer from California began learning the ins and outs of trading four years ago, hoping to make a few extra bucks.
The savvy mother, who now teaches people how to trade with her company Forex For Women, wants her young daughters to learn financial skills so they can enter the markets when they turn 18.
‘Homeschooling takes them less than two hours a day to complete,’ Amanda explained to Absolutely business.
The mother, who shares Adalyn, 12, Lucille, 10, and Anniston, nine, with her husband, says she is focusing on “freedom” in their upbringing and hopes she is preparing her children for life with financial skills.

Controversially, Amanda also allows her children to set their own schedule after getting up around 8 a.m.

She explains how she wakes up at 6am and her children get up two hours later, at approximately 8am.
“My husband and I are entrepreneurs, so we have complete control over our schedules,” she explained.
During the week, the girls have extracurricular activities such as dance, sports, art, and enrichment classes, and outside of that, your daughters have complete control over when they complete their lessons.
“I give them (the girls) the freedom to complete their schoolwork whenever they want, as long as they do it before the day is over,” she explained.
“The rest of the day they can live with total freedom to choose activities, riding bikes outdoors, beach days and much more,” added the mother.
The emphasis on freedom and having a flexible schedule that allows them to fully enjoy life was fueled by the loss of their fourth child, Carsen, in 2015.
Carsen suffered from severe disabilities and died at the age of five.
Amanda has taught her children to read charts so they understand what is happening and explains how she accesses opportunities.

“We learned how short life is and that the freedom to be together was the greatest goal and dream for our family and the future of our children,” she recalled.
“You never know what tomorrow will bring. Why waste it doing something you don’t like for a paycheck?”
Amanda said she now only spends “15 minutes a day” on her phone, after developing a system that allows her minimal contact time so she can be a fully present mother.
“It took me three years to develop my system and now it’s the same system I teach to thousands of other women around the world who crave simplicity and freedom,” she shared.
Amanda has taught her children to read charts so they understand what is happening and explains how to take advantage of opportunities, but assures them that they will not trade live until they are 18.

“They understand perfectly how to read the market and achieve successful positions on a broker’s demo account,” he gushed.
“Most people think trading is difficult, but when you actually look at what’s happening in the market right now, it’s actually quite simple to see that the market is going up or down,” he explained.
“I teach them that our goal is not to predict what will happen next in the market, but to take advantage of what is happening now,” he says.
“I teach my girls the same way I teach the women at Forex For Women: keep it simple,” she added.
Loving parents believe that homeschooling their children will teach them independence and “give them a thirst for life and freedom.”
“I always tell my children that their only task in life is to be happy,” he said.
“Whether that means going to college and finding a career, becoming a day trader or an entrepreneur, the choice is theirs and I will support them,” he added.
The mother says she sees her business skills as a legacy she can teach her children and pass on to future generations.
“My children and their children will always have the knowledge of this skill so that they can put their money to work for them, allowing them to ‘work’ for fun, rather than ‘work’ for a paycheck,” he shared.
