A one-month-old girl was killed by a monkey who jumped into her cradle to steal her milk bottle in India.
The child and her mother named by the Times of India as Sunita Devi was at home in the Junavai district of Sambhal last Saturday when the frightening incident occurred.
Devi reportedly worked near a porch where the baby was in her bed when the monkey wandered down and tried to grab the bottle.

She said the monkey had been sitting on the roof of the house when he noticed the bottle and suddenly attacked.
After seeing the monkey hovering above her baby's cradle, she set the alarm and family members emerged from the house trying to force it away.
But by the time the primate fled with the bottle, Devi's child had been seriously injured.
She rushed the child to a local hospital, but doctors declared her dead on arrival.
Shortly thereafter, doctors said the baby had sustained fatal internal injuries.
Monkey attacks have killed four people in the Sambal district this year alone.
