Two men have been imprisoned for the manslaughter of a man killed in a brutal attack and buried in a shallow grave on the Mornington Peninsula of Victoria.
Jade Goodwin, 39, was attacked by Brendan McDowall and Shane Heiberg in October 2017 after being told by McDowall's ex-girlfriend that she had been raped by Mr. Goodwin, who also held another woman hostage.
Neither of the allegations has been proven.
The couple entered the man's bedroom and attacked the Hastings father of two with a pair of nippers in which the judge made a & # 39; serious and long-lasting attack & # 39; which lasted 10 minutes and he finally died after being choked with a dog leash.
His body was found a week later in a shallow grave in Tyabb.

At the Victoria Supreme Court on Monday, Christopher sentenced Christopher Beale McDowall to 10 years and six months in prison with a non-conditional period of seven years and six months, and Heiberg to eight years in prison, with qualifying for conditional release after five years .
In July, the court sentenced Natalie Dalton, 38, for two and a half years for encouraging her former partner McDowall and Heiberg to give Goodwin a & # 39; flogging & # 39; to apply.
Dalton claimed that she had been raped by Mr. Goodwin and that he must have a beating and an honest one.

Earlier, Judge Christopher Beale said that he & # 39; not satisfied & # 39; was that no rape had taken place.
He said, however, that there is some kind of & # 39; incident & # 39; Dalton had told her friends that Mr. Goodwin had sexually abused her and that he was holding his roommate Olivia McOrmond against her will.
McDowall and Heiberg then entered Mr. Goodwin & # 39; s unit and attacked him in bed during a & # 39; long fight & # 39 ;.
During the attack, McDowall hit Mr Goodwin with bolt cutters that he found on the ground before he suppressed him with cable ties and wrapped a dog leash around his neck and strangled him.
Dalton, a mother with a history of drug and alcohol problems, later helped McDowall throw away Mr. Goodwin's body.
Heiberg pleaded guilty to manslaughter earlier this year and McDowall was convicted of murder in May by a jury, but convicted of manslaughter by a jury.
Dalton was initially accused of murder, but later pleaded guilty of deliberately causing serious injury, with prosecutors admitting that she was not responsible for the injuries that caused Mr. Goodwin's death.
McOrmond received a 12-month community promotion last week for her role, which provided coverage for the doona in which the body of the deceased was wrapped.
