In 2018, police had to be called to a California pizzeria in Newark when a massive fight broke out over a missing iPhone, which turned out to still be in the lost and found.
It broke out after a girl without a phone approached a group to see if they had seen her, but quickly descended into chaos, with video showing two large groups of people exchanging blows and shouting at each other above.
Newark police officers had to call officers from the Fremont Police Department for help due to the magnitude of the fight.
Police said the fight was eventually broken up and only minor injuries were reported. No arrests have been made.
Later, as police began investigating the incident, the restaurant manager discovered that the missing phone had been turned into a found item hours earlier.
