A British businessman living in Hong Kong has been charged with murder after his housekeeper was found dead at the bottom of a waterfall.
The unnamed 34-year-old man and his wife were arrested at West Kowloon train station on Tuesday in connection with the crime.
According to police, the suspect went to Waterfall Bay park in Pok Fu Lam with the victim at around 11pm on Sunday, but about 40 minutes later, the Briton was seen running alone towards a taxi.
The housekeeper, a 25-year-old Indonesian woman, was discovered floating in the water at the bottom of the waterfall around 7 a.m. on Monday.
He is believed to have drowned after suffering serious head injuries, South China Morning Post and preliminary examinations also revealed minor injuries to his extremities.

The man’s 36-year-old wife, said to be a Hong Kong local, was arrested on suspicion of assisting the suspect, but was later released on bail.
Police have confirmed that the man will appear at the Eastern Magistrates Court tomorrow, while his wife will have to appear before police at the end of next month.
