This is the moment a luxury yacht sinks off the coast of Mallorca after five people, including a child, were pulled from the boat in a dramatic rescue operation.
The luxury boat first ran into trouble at around 10am local time on Saturday when other nearby vessels noticed that the yacht, which was moored off the coast of Camp de Mar in the southwest of the Balearic island, had partially sunk.
Shortly afterwards, an emergency alert was issued and the Spanish coast guard set out on its boats to the scene, followed by the local police.
Fortunately, before emergency services could arrive, a private boat was able to pick up the yacht’s five passengers, including a German couple and their son.

But it was later claimed the break-in occurred after one of the crew members left a side door open and did not have time to close it once the weather “changed”, local media reported.
Five staff members and passengers on board were safely rescued from the ship.
