Nicola Roberts announced her engagement over the weekend when she took to the stage at Brighton Pride sporting a massive diamond ring.

Nicola has had two known relationships before her one with Mitch. The 38-year-old singer dated Carl Davies for 18 months in 2007 before dating Charlie Fennell until 2013, when they secretly split.
Charlie Fennell
Before finding love with Mitch, Nicola’s last public relationship was with Charlie Fennell, whom she dated for six years until they secretly split in late 2013, claiming the relationship had “failed”.
A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper at the time: ‘Nicola and Charlie split at the end of last year.
‘They just drifted apart. They had a great relationship, but they both felt like their relationship had come to an end.’
The source explained: ‘Nicola is really enjoying being single again. She’s back out partying and is really enjoying making new friends and being at showbiz parties.
“She’s definitely still single and has no intention of getting married any time soon.”
Before finding love with Mitch, Nicola’s last public relationship was with Charlie Fennell, whom she dated for six years until late 2013, claiming the relationship had “failed” (pictured, 2011).

Nicola met former soldier Carl Davies in 2007 and the pair dated for 18 months before ending their relationship after a series of public rows.
Following the split, the Girls Aloud star suffered a campaign of online harassment in which he sent her up to 3,000 messages from 35 different social media accounts, including threats to stab and burn her.
The man attacked the pop star more than four years after their relationship broke down. Nicola never responded to any of the messages, but meticulously copied all the messages which she later handed over to police.
In 2017, Guildford Crown Court in Surrey gave Carl a 15-month suspended prison sentence and a lifelong restraining order banning him from contacting her.
She told the Guardian in 2020 that the Crown Prosecution Service’s decision to drop charges against him after he breached her restraining order by following her on Instagram was “grossly unfair”.
The prosecution apologised for its decision (made on the grounds that there was little chance of a conviction) in 2018, but for Nicola “it was too late”.

Later in 2021, Carl was jailed for two years and eight months after admitting sending death threats to former BBC Breakfast presenter Louise Minchin and threatening to rape her 19-year-old daughter.
In one message to Louise, he wrote: “Move or you’re f***ed,” while in another he said: “your daughter will definitely be raped,” followed by his home address, the town they lived in and the cars that were in their driveway at the time.
Commenting on one of Louise’s photos, he said: “You can see your garden from there,” showing that he knew where they lived.
The presenter and her daughter said the harassment had a “horrible, devastating and lasting impact” and they still suffered a “sense of deep distress” more than a year later, they told the judge.
In a victim impact statement, Louise said: “We couldn’t sleep because we were worried about whether we were safe and we were scared of everything we did and distrusted everyone we didn’t know. We never went out alone.
‘I felt desperate and helpless that someone had made such heinous threats against my teenage daughter and I was unable to protect her from serious physical and psychological harm.
“We are both still traumatized by what has been a harrowing experience.”
