The “rocket market” or as it is known as “the rocket market” is a popular market located in the southwestern part of the city of Jeddah, and it is considered one of the largest markets in the Kingdom in terms of area.
The history of the establishment of the market dates back to about 3 decades and includes about 12 thousand shops, in which you can find offices and shops selling clothes, antiques and foodstuffs, in addition to car parts and many goods and commodities imported from abroad.
It was dubbed the “Al-Sawarekh” market because of its location adjacent to the Saudi military missile base located in the southern region of the city of Jeddah.
