A five-year-old boy has been called a “hero” after saving his mother’s life by calling 999 as she lay unconscious at home.
When Ruby Natalie, 30, started feeling dizzy on August 8, she decided to lie down and “watch a bit of TV” in her central London flat.
Just under an hour later, her youngest son, JJ, aged five, came into the bedroom to ask her for a drink, but when she went to get him one, he suddenly fainted.
The mother of one told MailOnline: ‘Obviously I jumped up straight away to get him something to drink.
“And then in the hallway, that’s where I don’t remember anything. That’s where I collapsed.”
Five-year-old JJ bravely called 999 when his mum Ruby Natalie (pictured) suddenly fell unconscious at their new home.
The young man had asked his influencer mother for something to drink, but when she went to get him one he collapsed.
As her mother lay unconscious, brave JJ used her phone to dial 999 and speak to an operator.
Although most five-year-olds would have burst into tears, paramedics later recounted how JJ remained “calm” and “very calm”.
With guidance from the 999 operator, JJ carefully placed his mother in the recovery position and monitored her breathing.
Ruby said: ‘There was a point where she couldn’t hear me breathing and she calmly told the operator: “I don’t know if Mum’s dead.”
‘And then I started breathing again and he said, “Oh no, no! Mom’s alive! She’s alive! She’s alive!”
Ruby, who works as an influencer, recently moved to central London with her nine-year-old sons JJ and Leo.
The youngsters are still adjusting to their new surroundings, and as a result, when the operator asked JJ for his address, he replied: “London.”
Asked for further details about his whereabouts in the capital, JJ replied: “A tall building.”
However, brave JJ quickly called 999 and was “very calm” when speaking to operators.
With 999 guidance, JJ carefully placed his mother in the recovery position and monitored her breathing (pictured with his mother in hospital).
Ruby said: “God bless him. He tried to lighten the situation by saying that our apartment has three balconies. It’s a little gem.”
The operator later asked JJ to open the door for paramedics, to which the smart five-year-old said he wouldn’t do it “for the strangers.”
“I’ll only open the door when you’re here,” JJ explained.
Ruby began to regain consciousness as paramedics arrived along with her fiancé Ansis, 26, who was fixing his new car in a nearby parking lot at the time.
Nine-year-old Leo was also not home when Ruby collapsed, leaving young JJ to deal with the crisis alone.
“I woke up and my back was numb because I had landed on it so weird,” Ruby said. “I was screaming because I thought I was paralyzed.”
She was rushed to St Thomas’ Hospital in London, where doctors saw blood around her right fallopian tube and rushed her into emergency surgery.
Ruby was hospitalized for four days to recover. JJ made sure to visit her and bring a bouquet of flowers to her loving mother.
The young mother has now returned home and JJ couldn’t be happier with his newfound fame.
Ruby said: “He’s very proud of himself. He understands he’s in the papers and he keeps saying, ‘Oh, I’m famous and famous.'”
As he had recently moved into the flat, JJ was just getting to know the location so was unable to give the 999 operators an exact address.
However, thanks to the little one, the emergency services were able to pinpoint his location (in the photo: with his mother Ruby)

JJ, who Ruby has described as “an adult in a child’s body,” will join the first year next September.
“He is the smartest in his class and when people hear him speak they are amazed,” she said.
“Because the things he says are literally like a grown man in a child’s body. His vocabulary is incredible.”
“He is my hero.”
