A wellness influencer has been identified as the person behind the wheel in a fatal crash that killed a rideshare driver in Malibu.
Summer Wheaton, 32, was driving on the Pacific Coast Highway when she veered onto the wrong side of the road.
His white Mercedes collided with a Cadillac Escalade driven by Martin Okeke, 44.
Okeke suffered ‘multiple traumatic injuries’ and died at the scene. ABC7 reports. A passenger in his vehicle was taken to the hospital.
Wheaton was returning from a star-studded Fourth of July party at Nobu around 10:30 p.m. when the accident occurred.

The woman was also taken to hospital and authorities are investigating the cause of the collision.
The Malibu Times Speed and alcohol have reportedly been identified as possible causes of the incident.

She is the founder of two startups, including a non-profit focused on self-empowerment.
By Tuesday, Wheaton had deleted his social media accounts and appeared to have deactivated his website.
Wheaton attended the glitzy ‘Red, White and Bootsy’ party on July 4th alongside the likes of Mike Tyson, Blake Griffin and Jamie Foxx.
Guests were treated to performances by Tyga and Wiz Khalifa, as well as Foxx.
His white Mercedes collided with a Cadillac Escalade driven by Martin Okeke, 44.
Okeke suffered numerous injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. His passenger and Wheaton were taken to the hospital.
Wheaton was returning from the glitzy ‘Red, White and Bootsy’ Fourth of July party alongside the likes of Mike Tyson, Blake Griffin and Jamie Foxx.
The party went ahead despite a dispute with city officials who had refused to grant a temporary use permit after the venue failed to meet conditions related to traffic and safety.
The event went ahead anyway and is now being treated as a code violation.
The fatal crash comes as Malibu residents are campaigning for better safety measures along this notoriously dangerous stretch of road.
Among the incidents was a fatal crash that killed four Pepperdine University students in October.
They joined a list of more than 60 people killed along the highway since 2010.
