A Ukrainian superyacht stewardess who was caught on doorbell camera beating her three-year-old son has avoided jail time.
Yulia Storozhuk, 29, was emotional as she accepted a plea deal negotiated with the Miami-Dade state attorney’s office on Thursday.
The mother was caught on a neighbor’s Ring doorbell camera throwing her helpless son down a hallway before kicking him several times.
“I’m very sorry, I’m a single mother and it was just an incident where I let my emotions get the better of me,” Storozhuk previously told the court through an interpreter. NBC reports.
Her pleas seemed to appease Judge Carmen Carbarga, who sentenced her to three years of probation.

Storozhuk was filmed throwing and kicking her son along a hallway in her Florida home last year.
Storozhuk has avoided prison and must undergo a mental health evaluation and parenting classes.
Last year’s attack left her son covered in scratches and bruises, and he was placed in the care of a foster family.
She told police she started hitting the young man because he refused to listen to her.
In the video, Storozhuk can be seen aggressively picking up her son and throwing him to the ground of their Sunny Isles apartment building.
The little boy is thrown into the air and lands on the hard ground with a terrifying thud.
Storozhuk was emotional as she accepted a plea deal Thursday that saw her sentenced to three years’ probation.
He then kicks him at least three times down the hallway, before grabbing him by the neck, dragging him and kicking him a few more times.
Footage taken 40 minutes later shows her pushing the boy in the chest, causing him to fly backwards and crash to the ground.
The shocking incident was reported to police by a concerned neighbor, who captured the attack on her Ring doorbell camera.
“How can a mother do this? She’s a monster,” a Miami-Dade police spokesman said at the time.
She previously told the court she had let her emotions get the better of her and that the abuse had only happened once.
Reviewing the footage, Carbaga said the attack “deserves a prison sentence,” but he did take into account a psychologist’s recommendation that the mother and child be reunited.
Storozhuk was banned from physically disciplining her son ever again and warned that she could end up in jail if she breaks the rule.
By accepting the plea, he could now face deportation back to his native Ukraine.
