A mother was allegedly so high on drugs when she caused a four-car crash that she killed her son, who was driving on the wrong side of the road.
Kerri Bedrick, 32, was charged with aggravated drunken driving and a long list of other offenses after she walked away from the crash on Long Island.
Her nine-year-old son, Eli Henrys, was strapped in the back seat and died before reaching the hospital Thursday morning.
Bedrick was speeding the wrong way on the Southern State Parkway in Bay Shore when police attempted to pull her over, but she refused to stop, police said.

His 2022 Mitsubishi SUV collided head-on at around 2.20am with another car with such force that his vehicle’s engine crashed into nearby trees.
Two other cars were caught in the crash, resulting in injuries to two of the other drivers: Haydee Meyer, 29, and David Picard, 24.
Bedrick suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was standing outside the car when police arrived and took him to the hospital.
Suffolk County deputies led her out of the hospital in handcuffs, looking dazed and disheveled.
Police charged her with aggravated unlicensed driving, operating a vehicle under the influence of drugs, aggravated driving under the influence of drugs with a passenger under 16, endangering the welfare of a child and criminal possession of a stimulant.

Suffolk County deputies led Bedrick out of the hospital in handcuffs, looking dazed and disheveled.
Bedrick is not yet facing charges in Eli’s death. DailyMail.com has asked the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office if charges would be upgraded.
“State troopers did everything they could to save the child’s life and this was a traumatic experience for everyone involved,” said New York State Police Maj. Stephen Udice.
‘To give you an idea of the severity of the impact, the engine of the oncoming vehicle was thrown into the woods some distance from the point of collision.’
Bedrick’s mother, Diane Bedrick, said the accused drugged driver had been struggling with some medical issues in recent months and was taking prescription medication.
“(Eli) was a very sweet boy and had a long life ahead of him. She adored him and he was everything to her,” she said. News of the day.
“They are both loved and we are trying to get through this.”
Bedrick is due to appear in court on Friday.
Bedrick is not yet facing any charges in Eli’s death.
