A football fan has been caught on camera giving young AFL star Harley Reid an eager high-five and then licking his hand.

Although the Crows defeated the West Coast Eagles by 99 points on May 26 at Adelaide Oval, the fan in question didn’t seem to mind.

Following the high five with Reid moments after full time, the woman could be seen licking her hand as she cherished the brief physical interaction.

It comes as Reid continues to impress Adam Simpson’s men in his debut season of senior football.

Last year’s highly touted No. 1 National Draft pick has lived up to the hype this season with a series of dominant displays in a team that has won just three games.

Eagles teammate Tom Barrass called Reid a “genuine phenomenon,” and such is the buzz surrounding him that the 19-year-old is being considered to become the first player to earn $2 million per season in the future.

“I’ve never seen anything like it,” said 28-year-old defenseman Barrass.

“He’s a lovely guy and a lovely character, I love watching him play good football.”

Even Reid’s rivals are taking notice, including double Brownlow Medalist Lachie Neale.

“He’s a pretty special talent,” the Brisbane Lions star said.

‘I wouldn’t mind having his power and his physique. Those traits would be nice.

‘Some of its highlights are already incredible. She’s going to be a superstar for a long time.”
