A turtle has been transformed into a Stegosaurus after a flock of butterflies landed on its back.

The amazing images of Hubert Janiszewski, 43, from earlier this year, show nature at its best.

Janiszewski was visiting the Mabuasehube Game Reserve in Botswana, which stretches across South Africa when he saw how the beast was bombarded by a flock of butterflies.

Janiszewski, a photographer and marketing analyst from Warsaw, Poland, said: & I was in the waterhole of Lesholoago when I saw a large leopard turtle trying to get out of the water.

& # 39; When I looked through my binoculars, I was amazed that there were swarms of butterflies on the turtle as it emerged from the water – the scene looked absolutely spectacular and extraordinary.

& # 39; I grabbed my camera quickly and got some pictures and some video images.

But Mr. Janiszewski said he was beginning to realize that the turtle was stuck in the well.

& # 39; So the perception that was pure joy and joy at the first moment became very emotional for us & he added.

& # 39; When I was sure there were no other animals around, I walked out of the car and quickly removed the turtle from the pool.

& # 39; He was a little stressed at first and hid in his shell, but soon realized that he was free and could go his own way. & # 39;
