Crew members are trained to look for ABP (healthy people).

ABPs are those who, ideally, travel alone, have no mobility problems, can speak English (or the local language) and appear fit enough to be able to open emergency doors.

Many passengers shared their surprise at the news.

‘I knew (they) were judging me! But I thought it was to see if it looked like a security threat,” one man said.

“I always tell them (cabin crew) that I am a nurse, they are very grateful for that,” added one woman.
