Many mistakes can be forgiven, but a former flight attendant has revealed an action on a plane that is so “ridiculous” and “crazy” it could result in a lifetime ban from flying.
Skye Taylor, 49, from Southampton, spent 17 years working as a flight attendant, starting on low-cost airlines and working her way up to a job at Virgin Atlantic.
She hung up her flying boots just over a year ago and is now revealing behavior by other cabin crew influencers that has left her “horrified”.
Skye told MailOnline: “I was watching one tiktok The other day and I was absolutely horrified.
‘An influencer went over the markings (on the track), the safety area, and everyone was like, “Oh wow, that’s amazing.”
“But she was right near the engine, it was ridiculous.”
However, the former stewardess was even more horrified by another influencer.
She said: “I’ve seen a lot of other things that make me think, ‘Oh my God!’

‘In another video, an influencer was like writing on the mirror or something in the bathroom, and I was thinking that could end up being a huge safety risk.
“Because messages have been known to be left for, you know, (dangerous people) and I think a lot of times, people, I don’t want to say it because I’m older, but it’s like a younger generation thing.
“I think common sense goes out the window.
“At the end of the day, it’s all about safety, something could happen to you or put that plane in danger, and I’ve seen it many times.”
Skye believes that some influencers have become more brazen and daring just so that others will watch their videos without thinking about the serious consequences.
“Doing that to get views is ridiculous,” he continued.
“It’s crazy, plus you’ll probably be banned from flying for life.”
‘We have to report that immediately and it doesn’t matter (what the message says) because (the police) will decode things differently than us.

Skye, pictured in her uniform, says of younger cabin crew members potentially putting the plane at risk with their actions: “I think common sense goes out the window.”
“The police or aviation authorities will see things differently, as a normal person would say.”
In February of this year, a United Airlines flight was forced to land in Chicago after someone wrote a bomb threat on a mirror in one of the plane’s bathrooms.
The plane was later found to be free of any threats.
