A woman has caused a stir after showing off an irritating passenger in the seat of her daytime flight – who turned out to be a child.

Content creator Umaymah, who lives in Dubai, posted the 8-second clip on TikTok showing her controversial response.

In the video, which has been viewed more than 16.3 million times, Umaymah is sitting in her seat on the plane with the blinds up and light coming in.

However, as she sits there, a small hand reaches out from behind the seat in front of her and deftly closes the blind, despite it being the closest window to her seat.

Content creator, Umaymah, who lives in Dubai, posted the 8-second clip on TikTok showing the controversial situation.

In the video, which has been viewed more than 16.3 million times, Umaymah is sitting in her seat on the plane with the window blinds open and light coming in when a child closes it.

From there, a game of tug of war on the window curtains ensued, with the young man reaching back to close the curtain, only for Umaymah to stop him by putting her hand in the way to stop him.

“It’s my window,” she captioned the video, indignant.

“It had ITS OWN WINDOW,” he added.

Users were divided by their reaction when the boy closed the window blind, some agreeing that she has jurisdiction over the window while others felt she should be more lenient because her seatmate was just a girl.

“If I sit by a window, I want to look out the window,” one TikTok user commented. ‘Who closes the blinds on a daytime flight?’

‘What if they are trying to sleep?’ questioned another.

“You know he’s trying to do that because his iPad is reflected,” one person joked.

Others thought that Umaymah had no right to decide whether the window was open or closed.

Umaymah wanted the light to come in during the flight, while the boy in front of her was not so sure.

From there, a game of tug-of-war on the blind ensued, with the young man reaching back to close the blind, only for Umaymah to stop him by putting her hand in the way to stop him.

Users were divided by their reaction when the boy closed the window blind, expressing their opinions in the comments.

“But it’s not your window,” objected one user.

“Please let bro close the window, he’s probably trying to sleep,” another complained.

Last year, a flight attendant went viral after sharing her pet peeves about work life.

She criticized parents who leave their children loose on the plane as something that particularly bothers her when she is working.

The flight attendant said: “I’m a parent too, but when people let their children put stickers on the plane, draw or leave a dirty diaper in the back seat pocket, I’m horrified.”

In addition to these pet hates, Natalie says it’s also annoying when people don’t wear headphones while watching or listening to something.

She said, “They expect everyone to be subject to their music or what they’re watching.”

Despite these problems, Natalie loves her job and believes that not all passengers are bad, and even a simple thank you can brighten her day.

She said: ‘Honestly, when people say ‘thank you’ when they get off the plane (it’s really cool).
