A couple who initially hoped to adopt the Ukrainian born girl with dwarfism who were allegedly abandoned by her adopted family say they have proof that she is a child and not as mature as her adopted family claim.
Vincent and Nicole DePaul, who both have a form of dwarfism, tell Inside Edition they wanted to adopt Natalia Grace in 2009 before being recorded by Michael and Kristine Barnett in 2010.
The Barnetts claim that Natalia was actually a mature 22-year-old woman posing as a nine-year-old child trying to kill her and later being accused of abandonment when they left her in an apartment in Indiana to take care of herself.
But the DePauls, from Albany, New York, say there is no way to be an adult, by providing adoption papers that show her birth year as 2003 and say: & she looked like a child, she behaved like a child. Do I look like a child? I'm a dwarf. & # 39;

The DePauls, who spent several weekends with Natalia, say that the claims of Barnetts & # 39; ridiculous & # 39; and have paperwork showing her birth year as 2003
Natalia & # 39; s story came to light last month when DailyMailTV talked to Kristine Barnett, 45, while she and her ex-husband Michael, 43, reportedly dumped Natalia in an apartment in Lafayette, Indiana in 2013 before spending a month later moved to Canada and broke contact.
Police said the girl had to take care of herself for three years, despite a rare form of dwarfism, which means she is 3ft tall and has trouble walking.
But in an exclusive interview with DailyMailTV, Kristine insisted that Natalia was not nine years old – as claimed documents claim – that she was actually 22.
Barnett said the real victims were she and her family who had been terrorized for years by the mysterious impostor who threatened to stab them in their sleep, pushed her to an electric gate and poured bleach into her coffee.
But the DePauls say that that is physically impossible.
& # 39; If I or my wife tried to push someone into an electric fence, it would not go so well, & # 39; Vincent Inside Edition told in an episode that was broadcast on Thursday.
& # 39; Imagine someone who has difficulty walking and pushes a woman of medium size against a fence. It is ridiculous, & he added.
The DePauls called the Barnetts claims ridiculous.
Natalia, in the photo after she was picked up by the Barnetts at her adoption center in Florida in May 2010, soon became suspicious of her new parents because Natalia had her period and an adult vocabulary for a seven-year-old
Michael Barnett surrendered to the authorities on September 18 and was released on bail of $ 5,000. A hearing is scheduled for 2 September. Kristine Barnett surrendered to the authorities on Thursday, September 19, and was released after placing a $ 5,500 bond.
Kristine Barnett, 45, (photo) and ex-husband Michael Barnett, 43 were accused of leaving their daughter, then 9, in Lafayette, Indiana, and fled to Canada in 2013. But Kristine denies the claims and says she and Michael was the victim of a fraud in which the girl they adopted was an adult scammer trying to kill her
Natalia stayed with the DePauls several times when they wanted to adopt her, but eventually decided not to continue the adoption.
They have photos with them and claim that she was missing one tooth at that time and could see another come in.
The DePauls still had piles of paperwork on which her date of birth was 4 September 2003 – which would make her 16 years old.
After the Barnetts had raised her allegations, a 2012 court ruling stated that Natalia was an adult after her birth year changed from 2003 to 1989.
But Kristine still claims that Natalia would make statements and take photos in which she said she wanted to kill family members, roll them up in a blanket and lay them in the backyard.
Kristine said she questioned Natalia & # 39; s true age when they found out she had a public hair, a period and a vocabulary that went beyond her years.
The Barnetts were charged with two counts of crime neglect that could carry a combined maximum prison sentence of five and a half years.
Social media photos show that Natalia was recorded by the Christian couple Antwon Mans (photo) 36, and wife Cynthia, and their five children in a suburb of Indianapolis
DailyMail.com revealed that Natalia is now living with a Christian couple from Indiana and their five children.
Her new & # 39; father & # 39 ;, 36-year-old Antwon Mans, was recently ordained a pastor and lives in a former parsonage with his wife Cynthia, 39, a former manager of McDonald's.
The dedicated couple is aware of the questions that are about the true age of their Ukrainian & # 39; daughter & # 39; spinning around, which is hardly longer than a toddler due to the bone disorder spondyloepimetaphyseal dysplasia.
But images on social media make it clear that they treat the diminutive woman like a child, dress her in colorful children's clothes and add a photo of Natalia and a young playmate: & # 39; dearest best friends ever & # 39 ;.
