A wedding in India took a dark turn this week when angry attendees attacked a caterer over the curry on offer before he plummeted to his death.
The 22-year-old, named Krishna Kumar, was beaten by guests who were upset about the “inadequate supply” of mutton curry at the ceremony in Jharkand state. local media reports.
The dish was in high demand and after guests gorged on it, Kumar is said to have told them he could not serve any more portions.
This sparked anger among members of the wedding party, who reportedly launched an attack on the catering staff.
While making a desperate attempt to escape, Kumar ran, fell into a well and died, according to police.

Her body was reportedly discovered on Wednesday morning after the wedding party took place the previous Thursday.
The incident occurred around 1.30am in Huppu village, about 40 miles from the state capital, Ranchi.
After an autopsy, the young man’s family received his body shortly after.
A criminal complaint has been filed against the host and the bride and groom’s two parents.
Police at Gola police station are investigating the death but said no arrest has been made yet.
Earlier this year, a 15-year-old girl also lost her life after falling into a well in India.
The teenager and her 19-year-old sister were attacked by monkeys while working on the terrace of their house.
They then fell into the dry well in Nai Nagla town in Uttar Pradesh and both suffered serious injuries. Sadly, the younger sister died in hospital shortly after.
