A dating columnist has revealed the reasons why people cheat and they have little to do with being unhappy in a relationship.
Jana Hocking explained on Weekend Today that some people cheat because they need “validation,” while others like the “adrenaline rush.”
“I think they take risks because they think it’s sexy or exciting, or that sneaking around gives them a little adrenaline rush in their boring everyday lives,” she said.
Jana continued: “There are also a lot of normal guys who cheat on ten out of ten girls. That’s the common theme.”
The Daily Mail Australia columnist explained that insecurities can also lead someone to cheat on their partner in some relationships.
“I think it’s because these dumb guys think, ‘She’s so hot and she could cheat on me at any opportunity. I need that validation so people will still think I’m hot, too.'”
“It’s ridiculous, but it happens,” he added.
Jana also said that someone who is “really charming” can be a big red flag in any relationship.
