Explaining what inspired him to create a tiny house, he says, “I got tired of running a rat race… just to pay the rent, just to come home and watch TV, and do it all over again.”

Lance ended up selling everything he owned through the Facebook Marketplace.
Explaining what inspired him to create a tiny house, he says, “I got tired of running some kind of rat race, working 9 to 5, just to pay rent, just to come home and watch TV, and do it all over again.
“It was killing my soul in a way… I started doing a little research on life in vans and, you know, I kind of fell in love with the idea. I decided it was time.
‘There was a lot of fear that held me back originally, but once I got over that fear, I felt like I was blessed by it.
‘Things became much easier. I was no longer afraid and I ended up selling everything I had.
“I put it all on Facebook Marketplace and built this RV in 20 days, and hit the road.
“I wanted to be able to travel and meet new people and see new places, and this allows me to do all of that.”
Fortunately, Lance is a carpenter by trade, so the DIY project wasn’t too daunting.
In his video tour, he shows how there is a full kitchen with a two-burner propane stove, a portable fridge-freezer combo, a small drawer for storing utensils, shelves, a deep sink, and a 30-gallon water tank.

The sink features a pull-out pull-out faucet that can be pulled out of the window to double as an outdoor shower.
Another clever aspect of the kitchen is a solid wood folding table in front of the sink.
This, Lance says, can be used as a cutting board or a dining table if you sit on the bed.
Speaking of the bed, it is located at the back of the small house and the maintenance staff made the mattress out of a piece of memory foam.
“This is the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in in my entire life,” he says.
Solar panels covering the top of the mobile abode mean Lance can power up as he goes.
There are lights on the roof of the house and windows by the kitchen sink, and the storage area allows for plenty of natural light.
So it doesn’t get too steamy while cooking, Lance also installed a vent in the ceiling, allowing for better airflow.

To keep everything in place while riding cross-country, Lance says he uses a lot of bungee cords.

Says Lance of his traveling lifestyle: ‘It comes with trials and errors, trials and tribulations, but there is divinity in the struggle. It’s been very, very good.’
Other areas she shows off during the tour include a small space by her bed that she uses as a micro art studio for painting, and her small closet that consists of a bookcase.

To earn money on the road, Lance does construction and vehicle repair work, advertising his services on the side of his truck.
Offering advice to bidders who might be considering a truck conversion, Lance concludes: “Maybe take some time to plan your design a bit because everything has to have its place.
‘You know, you’re living in 75 square feet of space that will be your home. You want to make sure everything fits right… that it’s secure.
