A chaotic fight erupts at a jewelry swap in New York’s Diamond District as one brawler loses his PANTS and another whips his top to join the action

A fight broke out inside a jewelry exchange in New York’s Diamond District on Monday, in which a man’s pants fell to the floor and a woman was punched.

Footage of the incident showed a number of fighters going topless and one man’s baggy pants falling to his ankles in the middle of the fray.

The smash happened at “The World’s Largest Jewelry Exchange” at 55 West 47th Street in the Diamond District in Midtown Manhattan after noon on July 31.

Although mostly men, one woman appears to have been hit during the fight, which was recorded by bystanders from multiple angles.

Footage of the incident showed a number of fighters going topless and one man’s baggy pants falling to his ankles in the middle of the fray.

One of the witnesses was famed jeweler Richard “Richie Rich” Nektalov, owner of Leon Diamonds, who shared some of the images online and described them as “super wild”.

‘A bit of excitement for the Diamond District is not an everyday thing,’ he told the New York Post.

Although the NYPD eventually arrived to break up the fight, Rich suggested he didn’t believe no arrests were made.

Another witness, named only Aaron and Jewels of NYC who is in the swap, described the fight in an interview with The Post.

He said the cause of the fight was unclear, but that everyone involved seemed to know each other and that conflict was brewing and he heard “screams out of nowhere”.

Diamond Exchange NYC, or the World’s Largest Jewelry Exchange, is a jewelry store in New York’s Diamond District specializing in the wholesale of diamonds and engagement rings.

Although the NYPD eventually arrived to break up the fight, a witness who recorded the incident suggested he did not believe no arrests were made.

“We look up and see a bunch of people getting into it,” he said. Aaron also described the moment one of the men’s pants fell off.

“I guess what happened was his pants were a little loose on him, I guess when he was pushed his pants fell off,” he said. “I feel bad now that I think about it, but it was funny when we saw it.”

Rich’s store, Leon Diamonds, is across the street from the stock exchange, but he said his family worked in stalls inside.
