Bunnings shoppers have been scoring free gift cards, sweets, and merchandise after finding golden bones hidden in the store.

The golden bone was hidden among the DIY giant’s merchandise to celebrate the launch of its massive pet collection.

One customer said: ‘Went to check out Bunnings’ new pet collection today, and noticed this ‘Golden Bone’, had no idea what it was, but picked it up and read the tag.

Addition: “I went to the service desk and got a $10 gift card and Fredo’s!” Not a bad result!

Another woman couldn’t believe her luck when she won a $20 coupon, a jacket and dogs for her dog after taking him to the store for a pet supply launch.

Another said they were given some bandanas and portable bowls after they headed to the store with their dogs.

One woman posted a photo of her cats exploring the store, too.

Another added: “My son called the Bennings and got two bandanas, two collapsible water bowls, a small bag with little treats, a squeaker toy and two vouchers for free coffee.”

Another Bunnings store invited the local animal shelter to the launch party.

“There with so many puppies waiting for adoption, it was great for the pups to find their new families,” said one thrilled customer.

Bunnings general manager of operations Matt Tyler said each store was given the opportunity to enjoy pets over the new product launch weekend.

“Our team is always looking for ways to provide the best experience for our customers, and we regularly host a variety of free workshops, kids’ activities, and in-store events that are locally organized and run by each store’s team.”
