A 6.1 magnitude earthquake struck the Pacific island of Vanuatu.
The quake struck at 5 a.m. local time on Monday at a depth of 39 kilometers.
Vanuatu’s Department of Meteorology and Geological Hazards said there was no tsunami threat.
Vanuatu is 1,750 kilometres off the east coast of Australia.
