The couple recently sat down with YouTube star Matt Cullen for his Our Queer Life series, where they talked about their unusual, but undeniably strong, romantic bond.
Evan had been at Silver Daddies for decades before Bill approached him to ask him out on a date.
The two agreed to meet at Bill’s condo at noon for lunch.
Of the moment he first saw Evan, Bill recalled: “When I saw him walking towards me, I was overwhelmed by his masculine beauty. I just couldn’t get over it.
‘When we went up to my apartment, he leaned over and kissed me, and I was in seventh heaven.
‘I just felt like this is the man I’ve always wanted. And I still feel that way. I just adore him.’
Evan shared his memory of that initial meeting: ‘I must say that the word that came to mind… He waddled out of his building with his little man’s walk and out the door. And he was getting into the carriage and I said, “Oh my God, it’s beautiful.” I felt it was beautiful.”
Once they kissed in the first moments of meeting in person, Evan admitted, his impulse was to skip lunch altogether.
After lunch on their first date, the couple returned to Bill’s condo where they had sex four times.
Bill said of having sex with Evan: “It was just wonderful.” I knew I was in love with him and I enjoyed the experience, the feeling that I could let go and be myself.
‘He was the wise one. Because when I kissed him, he didn’t need to go to lunch. He was going to stay with me. But he said, “Well, let’s hurry up and go to lunch so we can come back.”
‘He was kind of responsible. And I thought, “Honor the elder, be responsible. Yeah, we came here to go to lunch, let’s go to lunch, okay.”
Returning to Bill’s condo together after lunch, the lovebirds had sex four times.

Bill discovered he was gay after enlisting in the Navy during World War II.

“And I never heard from him again,” Bill said.
‘Then I thought: “What’s the point of being gay when your lover leaves you?” “I thought being gay is not a way of life I can endure.”
Bill originally realized he was gay after enlisting in the Navy during World War II.
After his service, Bill went to conversion therapy and ended up married to a woman for 53 years.
Once Bill’s wife passed away, he began to realize that he had never stopped being gay.
Returning to the United States, he attended talk therapy. After her treatment, she was asked to appear in front of “50 or 60 doctors” and promise that she had been “cured” of her sexual preference for men.
Shortly after, he met a woman with whom he remained married for 53 years, until her death.
“After she died and I started grief therapy, I remembered that I wasn’t really straight,” Bill recalled.
His therapist encouraged him to explore his sexuality and recommended he try to find a partner through Silver Daddies.
At first, Bill was disappointed to discover that many younger men seemed interested in him primarily for his financial stability.
‘I was actually a very, very good investor considering the size of my portfolio. “He was doing very well financially and he was giving money to some of these men that he was dating,” he explained.
But everything fell into place once she connected with Evan through the dating site.
Meanwhile, Evan recalled that he first realized he was attracted to “much older” men when he was four, and emphasized that his interest is in septuagenarians and older.
It happened that Evan’s father had abandoned the family the same year Evan began to notice his sexual preferences.
When Matt asked Evan about the time his father left coinciding with revelations about his sexuality, Evan responded that he doesn’t have so much a ‘dad complex’ but a ‘grandpa complex’ when it comes to the items in his possessions. wishes.

Over the years he spent examining Silver Daddies, Evan admitted that he used to be adamant about sticking to the 70-90 age range.
‘Every once in a while there will be an old-looking 68-year-old that I might be attracted to. But generally, if they are under 70, I just won’t be attracted to them. And over 90, okay, I might think you’re good… but I’m not going to start something with someone who’s already over 90.’
Evan also described how Silver Daddies is full of closeted married men who “want to suck your dick.”
In any case, he was intrigued when Bill approached him and the rest of his story.
But the implications of taking lovers who are nearing the end of their lives are far from lost on Evan.
Evan had previously been in a long-term relationship for about a decade with an elderly man named Jack, who eventually passed away.
During that relationship, Jack was still able to help around the house, Evan explained.
But, thanks to his advanced age, Bill can’t do much.
“Bill does literally zero,” Evan admitted.
‘I literally clean their plates off the table. I do absolutely everything for him, which is great. And I love him, and I’m a people pleaser,’ Evan explained of their dynamic.
‘My favorite job I’ve ever had is waiting tables. I love taking care of people.’
As for his side of things, Bill believes that finding love has been a major factor in continuing to thrive as he approaches 100 years old.
‘I told Evan that I owe you my life. Because she wouldn’t be alive if he hadn’t met you and become your love.
“I would tell any other gay person to find their boyfriend.” Even if you have to go to Silver Daddies!’
