A woman has been left with ‘horrendous’ injuries after being attacked by a dog while delivering packages.
Sarah Bound, a 39-year-old courier who works for Evri, was delivering a package to a house in Bridgend when the dog lunged at her and bit her several times.
She was then rushed to the hospital, where she was given a tetanus shot and antibiotics.
Ms Bound said: “I honestly felt like I was in a movie… it was absolutely horrible and the pain was ridiculous.”

The ordeal left Evri’s courier with three puncture wounds, scars and bruises. “Four days later, I still have a sharp pain in my arms and they are still bleeding,” she said.
She said: ‘The owner came around the corner because I guess she heard me screaming.
“When he came to, he said, ‘It’s okay, he won’t bite you.’ The dog bit me a few times.
‘I got caught in the door as he jumped at me and he bit me a couple of times.
‘Then the owner called her and she left me, but she tried to come back for me when the owner grabbed her.’

Ms Bound also believes the attack has left a lasting impact on her.
She said: ‘It’s weird, I deal with dogs every day and I’ve never been scared of them, but now I’m not so sure, it really makes you think twice.

Ms Bound said: “I didn’t provoke the dog. I didn’t even knock on the door but he was ready to greet me as soon as he saw me. “I’ve delivered a few times and he’s usually inside the house at the window and he always makes me jump when he barks and he’s quite aggressive through the window.”
The dog’s owner has not been in contact with Ms Bound since the attack. She said: “I don’t think that’s right. I hope that changes, because this can’t happen to anyone else.”
‘I’ve been thinking, what if it’s a child, what if the owner doesn’t show up, it’s a really weird situation to be in and my friends and partner are telling me I don’t feel well.’
She added that she does not blame the dog or the owner, but that she does not want anyone else to go through this “horrendous experience.”
