A young man took his own life in front of his horrified girlfriend after leaving a heartbreaking suicide note for his siblings.
Jezavion “Jigga” Moody, 21, died at a local hospital on Tuesday despite three doctors fighting to save his life, just four days before his sister’s wedding.
He was set to serve as best man when his sister Shaisha Moody, 30, married her fiancé, Markeezia Silver, in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, on Saturday.
“Damn, I miss you all, I’m glad I had the chance to join you,” he told his eight siblings in the handwritten note addressed to all of them by name.

Jezavion left a heartbreaking suicide note for his eight siblings, addressing all of them by name.
“Your boy is tired and ready to go to sleep so I can sleep in peace. If they loved me, they would understand that I am at peace now and not worried about anything.”
“Always let your children know that you love them forever. I will watch over them forever, my spirit will be by their side every step of the way.”
Shaisha shared the note in a series of heartbroken posts as she tried to come to terms with her brother’s sudden death.
“A letter to all of his brothers. This is so hard I can’t make it up,” he wrote on social media.
“I’ve read this letter so many times I’ve lost count. I’m trying to understand and process it.”
Jezavion’s girlfriend, Nia Chantel, 20, shared a text message he sent her earlier in the week, in which he referred to himself in the past tense.
“I want to wish you a happy birthday in advance, it’s been a long time coming, we’ve come so far with this shit and I still love you no matter what,” she wrote.

‘I’m glad I met you, I miss your smile, everything about you… I still thank you for trying to push me to do better, you were my peace from all my problems, even if you see it.
‘I’m only okay when I’m with you, I enjoy every moment with you, enjoy it to the fullest. I love you, happy 20th birthday, be kind to me.’
Chantel revealed that Jezavion took his own life in front of her and that he had been suffering from depression for some time.
“His depression wasn’t new to me, I struggled with it and kept trying to push him to let him know that he had a purpose, that he was supposed to be here,” she wrote.
“I was there for you every step of the way. I watched my baby take his own life… and you’re up here talking about what you would have done and what I should have known.”
Shaisha insisted on Tuesday morning that her brother was still alive as doctors tried to save him, and she believed he would survive.
Chantel shared a text Jezavion sent her earlier this week, in which he referred to himself in the past tense.

“My brother is still here! Stop calling around and spreading lies until you hear from the source! Keep praying for all of us,” she wrote.
‘Jigga, you hurt me four days before my wedding, but I know you can do this, bro, I know you can do it.’
But less than two hours later, Jezavion was dead, and she wrote him a sad message from beyond the grave.
“Jigga, I saw the doctors doing EVERYTHING they could to save you, there were three doctors working on you at the same time and I swear to God I was seeing them all,” she wrote.
‘When I walked into your room your eyes closed tight as soon as I started talking to you telling you how much I loved you and telling you we had a great day on Saturday, you opened your eyes a little for me and looked at me…
“And I broke down and cried and you closed your eyes as if you couldn’t see me sad behind you.
‘But boy, I swear to God, it hurts me more than it hurts you to see you lying there knowing that there was NOTHING you could do but watch me cry… I’m not mad at you, I just wish I could have saved you.’
Jezavion took his own life in front of his girlfriend and suffered from depression for some time, she said.

The heartbroken bride considered calling off her wedding but later declared she would go ahead and hoped he would be there in spirit.
“The happiest and most important day of my life is in FOUR DAYS and my little brother is gone FOREVER and he was one of our groomsmen. Jigga was so smart, I don’t understand. Lord help me,” he wrote in a post.
Silver also wondered if the wedding could go ahead, writing to Jezavion: “How are we supposed to get through Saturday without you?”
“Man, seeing my wife hurt and not being able to do anything about it is killing me. Jigga, you ruined us man, we love you and will definitely miss you,” he wrote in another post.
Numerous other family members and friends sent their condolences to Jezavion’s siblings, along with her parents Edward Moody and Lakisha Whitaker.
